Oftentimes we pray and ask God for things, and for some reason we appear to be shocked when our prayers are answered. For some of us, not only are our prayers answered, but they exceed our expectations. This speaks to the idea that we are still not convinced of the awesome power of God. The enemy has conditioned us to live in a constant state of worry and doubt. He also wants us to fear that God will abandon us and not answer our prayers.
Now is the time for us to recondition our thoughts about life. When we pray and choose not to worry...that's L.I.F.E! When we decide to surrender all our concerns and trust God...that's L.I.F.E! When we take a moment to reflect on what God has already done for us...that's L.I.F.E! What is L.I.F.E? L.I.F.E is Living In Full Expectation. This is the thought we should maintain when we go to God in prayer. Let us remember who our Father is and what His desire is for us. He desires the best for His children and wants us to live an abundant life. This means a life filled with joy, peace, victory, and the full experience of His love. Yes, there will be trials in L.I.F.E, but keep moving and know that because of who our Father is, we are already victorious.
From this day forward, when you pray, do so knowing that not only will God answer, but expect that He will not return with a glass-half-full. Expect to receive an overflow that will be used to not only be a blessing to you, but to others.
